Friends Of Yavapai College Art
Located in Prescott, Arizona, FRIENDS of Yavapai College Art is an auxiliary of the Yavapai College Foundation. FRIENDS is an activity-based organization dedicated to the enhancement of the arts at Yavapai College and in the Prescott community.
FRIENDS formed in the 1960s to help the YC art faculty set up and maintain a Gallery on campus. Since that time, FRIENDS has expanded its mission. Members now organize projects and educational events which assist, support and raise funds for the Sculpture Garden, student scholarships, the Art Gallery, the Art Department, and Art a la Carte programs.
Through its support of these art related projects, FRIENDS makes a direct contribution to the artistic climate of Prescott.
The Del Decil Collection offered by Friends of YC Art
FRIENDS finds itself in receipt of a most generous donation from the estate of the late Prescott artist Del Decil. Part of this donation consists of forty of Del’s paintings that she intended to be sold to help support Yavapai College’s art scholarships, campus art programs, and the Sculpture Garden.
Articles have been published about Del Decil and her artwork in numerous national magazines and newspapers including “Who’s Who” and in Prescott Woman, November 2007. Her paintings are in collections in more than 20 states.

Friends of Yavapai College Art is a diverse group of people who love the arts. We are a group of volunteers who organize projects and educational events which assist, support, and raise funds for the Yavapai College Sculpture Garden, student scholarships, the Art Department, the Art Gallery, and Art a la Carte.
As an activity-based organization, being a member of FRIENDS is fun! In the process of supporting the arts at the College and in the community, members get to know others with shared interests. FRIENDS makes a direct contribution to the artistic climate of Prescott.
