Friends of the Yavapai College Library – Prescott & Verde Valley Chapters

Mission

The Friends of the Yavapai College Library assist the Library in serving the needs of its students, faculty and staff as well as the citizens of Yavapai County. The purposes of the Friends are to:

  • Build and maintain a membership of persons supportive of the Yavapai College Library
  • Encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests for the benefit of the Library
  • Reinforce the Library’s role as a cultural center by supporting literary and other cultural enrichment activities that benefit the citizens of Yavapai County
  • Promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the Library’s importance to the College and the community
  • Serve as a vehicle for connecting students, faculty, staff and community members through their shared love of libraries and reading
  • Support the freedom of intellectual inquiry and reading
