Yavapai College is home to outstanding intercollegiate athletic teams, including Men's Soccer and Baseball, and Women's Volleyball and Softball. Teams compete in Division I of the National Junior College Athletics Association and belongs to the Arizona Community College Athletics Conference (ACCAC), a league of fifteen community colleges throughout the State of Arizona.
The Roughrider Club:
- Provides financial assistance for athletes' travel to out-of-state-events, student scholarships, promotional activities, tournaments, and special projects and equipment purchases.
- Supports student athletes who are involved in Yavapai County communities with their volunteer efforts to Read Across America, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Pioneer Home, Elementary School Programs and Veteran's Affairs.
- Provides financial assistance to Little Roughrider Leagues, which bring the principles of sportsmanship to hundreds of young people each year. College coaches and student athletes interact with area youth through hands-on baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball clinics.
