 Adjunct Faculty Facebook Page

We have an Adjunct Faculty Facebook Page! It's a private site, and Jeri Denniston (Social Media Instructor) is managing it for us. Want to join? OK, you need to do this through Facebook. Go to Jeri's Facebook page and send her a "Friend" request. Here's Jeri's Facebook - Please note - Jeri cannot "friend" you from your e-mail address; it must be within Facebook so she can find you on Facebook. You must have / or create your own Facebook account first. Once you have a Facebook account, visit Jeri's Facebook page and request her to 'friend' you. You may also request a friend from your Facebook account to Jeri. Then she can invite you to participate in the group. Many thanks to Jeri for managing this for all of us!

 Syllabus Development

Syllabus development is a key part of developing and maintaining class information. A learning-centered course syllabus is a learning plan for students and is required for every course that is offered at Yavapai College. The official Yavapai College course outline is the foundation for the course syllabus. The syllabus is also the guiding tool that students will use throughout the course. Since the syllabus is used to introduce the course, it is critical that it establishes a positive tone and constructive learning environment.

Every course syllabus must incorporate required components, including descriptions, learning outcomes, a calendar of assignments, and institutional policies. While instructors may prepare the course syllabus in the professional format that best represents the course and meets the needs of students, a template is available for easy, online syllabus development.

Important! A copy of your completed syllabus must be provided to your Division Dean or Instructional Assistant prior to the first class meeting.
