TammyWe are offering two different summer robot camps for middle school age students: ROV camp and BotBrain® camp.

These FREE programs take place at two YC campus locations.

  • To apply for camp: complete the application, student essay, and teacher recommendation forms below.
  • Submit all three of these via fax to Susie Check at (928) 777-3142 by May 4, 2016 to be considered.
  • Selected students will be notified by May 18, 2016.

Water robot

ROV camp
(remote operated vehicle: underwater robots)

  • Dates: June 6-9, 2016
  • Students entering grades 7-9

Working in teams, students in ROV camp build ROV’s. Remote Operated Vehicles are underwater robots that are piloted from the surface. Each team will design and build a ROV to complete the assigned underwater mission.

Lego Robot

BotBrain® Camp

  • Dates: June 13-16 @ CTEC
  • June 20-23 @ Verde Valley Campus
  • Students entering grades 7 - 9

At BotBrain® camp you will use BotBrain® Educational Robots to compete in fun real-world challenges like navigating through a maze or working through a "mine field" to detonate the mines (modified mouse traps serve as the mines). Each day will bring a new challenge, and your team’s robot will have to morph to better adapt and compete.

Industrial Robots
