Students who complete various levels of training in Fire Science are prepared to meet the demands in the workplace with a foundation in all-hazard mitigation, emergency response, fire prevention and fire suppression proficiencies.
Fire Science students go on to work as:

Fire Science is appropriate for anyone interested in general education about the field, students who are entering the field, students already in the field seeking additional skills for advancement, and students planning to transfer to a college or university and pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Yavapai College’s Associates of Applied Science in Fire Science degree articulates directly into Arizona State University’s Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Fire Service Management (BAS-FSM), Masters of Science in Technology Degree in Fire Service Administration (MST-FSA), and a Fire Service Management Online Certificate.
Fire Science classes are offered on the Prescott Valley Campus, the Prescott Fire Training Center and the Verde Valley Public Safety Training Center and at outreach areas that require specific needs.
