Theater

Yavapai College offers courses in Introduction to Theater, an integrated approach to theater including playwriting, architecture, acting, production and criticism, particularly in historical settings. Acting classes introduce students to performance techniques with an emphasis on movement and voice skills. Students also learn creative movement, pantomime, character analysis and improvisation. They study performance techniques with an emphasis on character development and analysis and are introduced to directing and technical theater.  
 
Students in these courses develop performance skills that can be applied to roles in community theater groups. The courses transfer to Arizona universities.  
 
YC theater courses are currently offered at the Prescott Campus.
