Helicopter Pilot Entrepreneurship is a partnership program between Yavapai College and Guidance Helicopters, Inc. of Prescott, combining ground school training and small business application classes. This entry-level program gives students the complete professional qualifications to enter the field of helicopter aviation.
Students graduate from this FAA approved program with the following rotor-helicopter certifications and ratings:
Guidance Helicopters uses the most popular training helicopters in the world today, which are fast, maneuverable and safe at high-altitude. There is no other helicopter in the world backed by so many safety features.
More that 86% of the world’s civilian helicopter flight schools operate Robinson’s. By training in the Robinson, students will be more prepared for their first helicopter career step than those pilots who trained in other aircraft.
Flight operations are conducted from the Prescott Airport. Guidance Helicopters has 15,000 square feet of office and hanger space. Academic facilities are side-by-side with flight operations. The small business application classes that are part of this program are offered on the Prescott Campus.
