The Del E. Webb Family Enrichment Center at Yavapai College will celebrate its 5th anniversary with an open house
on Saturday, August 25 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The free public event will include tours of the Center, displays of children's learning, activities for children and refreshments.
“We will be showcasing the success of the Family Enrichment Center and the impact we've had on the children and families we've served and the teachers we've trained over the past five years,” said Vickey LaMotte, Del E. Webb center director.
The DEW Family Enrichment Center, which opened August 21, 2007, provides quality childcare and early education, serving parents who are working and/or pursuing an education. The center offers a safe, nurturing child-centered program that focuses on promoting learning for children from three months to five years of age.
The center also provides a setting for Yavapai College early childhood education students to develop the skills and competencies necessary for careers with young children. It also serves as a resource and a model for the community.
The DEW Family Enrichment Center is located on the campus of Yavapai College, 1100 E. Sheldon St. in Prescott. For more information, call 776-2174.
