Last Updated: 8/21/2009 9:43:35 AM 2nd Annual Arizona Living History Celebration![]() The “Old West” lives on at Yavapai College’s 2nd Annual Arizona Living History Celebration on Sat., Aug. 22, 2009. Hosted by Yavapai College’s Division of Lifelong Learning, Community Education Department and local historian, Melissa Ruffner, this day-long event takes place at Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus Library (Building #19).
Complimentary coffee and muffins will be offered in the morning for all participants. An optional barbeque lunch by Jube’s Firehouse BBQ will be available for an additional $9 per person at the event. Perhaps no other place epitomizes the American Southwest more than Arizona. This land’s stark beauty has captured the imaginations of artists, writers and filmmakers alike. Native American customs, outlaw legends and the legacy of the American Cowboy -- America’s 48th state is steeped in history.
