Be Successful, Be Green!

Verde River in Cottonwood

Join us for an innovative, early addition to the “Walkin’ on Main” celebration Saturday, Nov. 14 as the Clarkdale Chamber of Commerce presents the interactive, environmental event: “Be Successful, Be Green.”  
 
Visitors can participate in protecting the riparian areas during a jail trail clean up at 9 a.m. with the Yavapai College Ecology Club and representatives from Arizona State Parks.  
 
Throughout the day children and adults are invited to participate in eco-play with eco-murals with local artist Joan Bourque, educational riparian games and guided tours along the Cottonwood-Willow Riparian Jail Trail off Main Street in Cottonwood.  
 
Demonstrations from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, Friends of the Verde River Greenway, solar and sustainability vendors, and sundial displays by Leo Shakespeare will also be available. “Be Successful, Be Green” is designed to attract more green, sustainable businesses to the Verde Valley region.
