Community Members Welcome to YC!

We're proud to be part of Yavapai County and we're honored at the support we receive from our communities. Community members benefit from Yavapai College in the following ways:

  • Art Gallery

YC Art Gallery in Prescott is an instructional gallery under the umbrella of the Visual, Performing & Liberal Arts Division. The gallery hosts juried exhibitions of work by artists from around the world as well as artwork by YC art faculty and students. All Prescott openings sponsored by the YC Art Department.

  • The Richard Marcusen Sculpture Garden
    at Yavapai College

The Richard Marcusen Sculpture Garden at Yavapai College is adjacent to the YC Performing Arts Center. With meandering walks, the four-acre park enhances a variety of beautiful trees and shrubs. It provides a graceful setting for study, quiet contemplation and, as an extension of the Center, is a delightful area for outdoor events.

Family Enrichment Center

We are a child development center and lab school located on the Prescott Campus of Yavapai College. We offer a safe, nurturing child-centered child care program that focuses on promoting children's learning and we provide training to future teachers.

We have year round enrollment for children ages three months old through five years of age. To learn more, please visit our website.

Fitness Center & Swimming Pool

The fitness center offers students access to fitness classes, machine and free weights, cardiovascular training, strength training and other key components to fitness. Please note that in order to utilize the fitness center you must be enrolled in one of the classes.

The Yavapai College pool offers an array of exciting aquatic related courses for beginners all the way to competitive swimmers. Warm water exercise classes are great for those with physical limitations such as arthritis, and other osteopathic conditions. Some classes offered are specifically for children, too.

Mail Center

At the Yavapai College Mail Center, you can send, receive and return business mail or packages. The Mail Center can assist customers with many communication and delivery needs, such as fax and notary services, and provide packaging supplies and stamps.

College Police

The primary role of the Yavapai College Police Department is to provide assistance and protection of people on all campuses, protection of their property and protection of College property within the District. As a full service college police department, the department is staffed by highly trained officers who are AZPOST certified. They have the same responsibilities and authority as municipal, county or state law enforcement agencies.

Nature Trail

This 1.5 mile, non-motorized trail on the Prescott Campus was built to preserve our natural areas, provide recreational opportunities, and encourage biological, and cultural opportunities for all. It is an official Arizona State Trail, carefully designed and built to be natural and sustainable with the help of a Heritage Fund Grant and local contributors.
