Academic Coaches:

Academic Coaching is focused on helping you become a better student through:

  • Examining learning styles
  • Developing habits of work (e.g. note taking, study skills, test prep
  • Identifying and managing challenges to success (e.g. time/stress management, problem solving, organization, etc.

Students meet 1-on-1 with academic coaches consistently throughout the semester ( flyer )

  1. Click on the Schedule Appointment link below the tutor's name or go to the TracCloud website
  2. Type in your YC username (i.e. username@yc.edu) and password
  3. Click sign in with SSO
  4. Confirm Nio
  5. Click "Schedule an Appointment"
  6. Choose Subject and Reason
  7. Pick an available time for your assigned SSS/Trio Tutor or Academic Coach
  8. You'll receive a confirmation email in your YC scholar email account
  9. See the dashboard in TutorTrac to view your upcoming appointment

 Steps to join a tutor session:

  1. Log in to your YC Portal first.
  2. View tutor schedule - pdf.
  3. Find the tutor that works with your schedule.
    • Each tutor listed shows the days and times they are available to meet and which courses they can support.
    • If they meet via zoom, they will have a zoom link listed.
    • Online tutors will have their Zoom meeting room open for drop-in tutoring during their listed hours.
    • Note: (If you click the hyperlink any other day or time, you will still be allowed to enter the zoom room, but the tutor will be unavailable.)
  4. Zoom instructions are available.
  5. If you have questions, please contact the Learning Center staff at PrescottLearningCenter@yc.edu or call (928) 776-2085.

Submit your paper for review and comments by a tutor. We ask that you allow a maximum of two (2) business days turn-around for a response. Often, responses are in the same day. Remember, this is not an edit/proofread service and that the tutors can work with you to help you improve your writing assignments.

Stuck on a homework assignment? Email  prescottlearningcenter@yc.edu to request tutor support to help you get unstuck. You will need to include the following information in your email. .

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Instructor's name
  • Course name (e.g. BIO 101)
  • Your detailed question
