Steve Irwin

Board Secretary, District 5

Steve Irwin In 1991 I left the Army and started out with little opportunities. I knew how important education was to individuals and to our society. I am a product of the community college system and I attribute my successes to the community college experience.

In addition, for 24 years, I was a public servant for the federal, state, and local governments, helping families in the AHCCCSA Long Term Care programs, working with kids in the Juvenile Probation Department, and as a Teacher at Yavapai College. While in public service, I developed understanding on how government can better serve taxpayers and our community. Now, as a successful business owner,

I live every day emphasizing the importance of staying within a budget and maximizing resources, as well as investing in the people who make any business succeed. As a Yavapai College Governing Board Member, I bring my life experience to an organization that has a tremendous economic and social impact on Yavapai County residents
