YC’s Verde Campus hosts Open House AND ‘Wine & Wags’ event, August 7
It’s back! The only evening in Northern Arizona that offers the inspirational opportunities of higher education AND the festive spirit of canine companionship! Join us on YC’s Verde Valley Campus for two great events that combine to offer life-changing educational information, beverages and charcuterie on the Mabery pavilion, as well as grooming, adoption and play areas for your four-legged friends!
Sound like fun? You’re doggone right! Thursday, August 7 marks Yavapai College’s second annual degrees & dogs double feature: The Verde Campus Open House, from 4 – 6 p.m., and the dog-friendly Wine & Wags fundraiser at 5 - 7 p.m. – all on YC’s Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale.
YC’s Verde Valley Campus Open House offers a free tour of Yavapai College’s Northern Arizona Campus and an in-depth look at all the opportunities it holds. The Verde Campus is home to more than twelve degree and 20 certificate programs, in vocations ranging from Accounting to Nursing to Viticulture to the building trades. Learn how first-time college students, working students, those looking for a new career or those seeking advancement in an existing one have all used Yavapai College as a springboard.

Refreshments will be served, and prize drawings will be held for Amazon gift cards and more. Admission is free for the Verde Campus Open House, which commences in the Community Room, Bldg. M, Room 137 and runs from 4 to 6 p.m.
Wine & Wags, the College’s dog-friendly fundraiser for the Verde Valley Humane Society, brings humans and canines together from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Mabery Pavilion to enjoy a glass of wine from YC’s Southwest Wine Center (humans only!) and a host of pet-friendly activities – like dog grooming, pet photography play area and puppy pools. Bring your dog as a ‘plus-one!’ The Verde Valley Humane Society will also be on-hand with a crew of adorable dogs to meet, pet and adopt. The $25 admission fee includes table seating in the pavilion for live music from ‘Once Bitten,’ a glass of wine from the Southwest Wine Center, and a charcuterie boat. PLEASE NOTE: Patrons must be 21 or older, or a dog.
Both events will be held on Yavapai College’s Verde Valley Campus, 611 W. Black Hills Drive in Clarkdale.
