January is about halfway through, and the sports of Yavapai Athletics are picking up. These include ACCAC Conference matches for Men's and Women's Basketball, as well as Softball beginning their season this weekend!
All Yavapai home games can be viewed on the HUDL Fan App, which can be downloaded to most smart TVs. If you are unable to catch a game at home, you are able to watch along on your TV in the app by searching for Yavapai!
Women's Basketball
Last week, WBB participated in two ACCAC conference match-ups, including the 3-point nail-biter loss against Southern Nevada.
This week, Yavapai will play in two more conference match-ups!
Their first home conference game of the season is this Wednesday, January 21st against Arizona Western. That game will tip off at 5:30 PM!
Then, the Roughriders will head down to Douglas for their away game at Cochise on Saturday, January 24th. Tip-off for the game is at 2 PM.
Men's Basketball
Yavapai Men's Basketball has been in some close games on the road this season, and last week, the club went 0-2, including a close loss against Central Arizona.
This week, Yavapai will host their first ACCAC conference game of the season against Arizona Western! The game will tip off at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 21st, and it is sponsored by The Badger's Den.
Then, YC will make the long trip to Cochise for another ACCAC match-up on the 24th. That game will begin at 4 PM.
Softball
Yavapai Softball has returned! New coaches Dann Giesey and Kirsten Schmidt look to shake up the ACCAC with their new leadership and mostly new team!
The Roughriders will begin their season on the road in a 5-game, 2-day tournament in Tucson, AZ, hosted by Pima CC.
On Friday, January 23rd, Yavapai will play Scottsdale CC at 12:30 PM, then Mesa at 3 PM. The next day, the Riders will face off against Glendale at 9 AM, Pima at 12:30 PM, and lastly Chandler-Gilbert CC at 3 PM.
