Parent Cohort
Students enrolled in Early Childhood Education, K-12 Education, Nursing, Nursing intent, Paralegal, AJS, Management or Accounting programs who qualify may have childcare tuition costs fully funded for children under age 12 when enrolled in a DES/DHS certified care center or home while enrolled as a student at YC.
Who? Students enrolled in AAS Medical Assistant, Early Childhood Education, K-12 Education, Nursing, Nursing intent, Paralegal, AJS, Management, Radiology, or Accounting programs Full-Time or Part-Time and working.
This childcare scholarship is currently limited to these listed degrees. Parents will be required to show economic need through filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Demonstrated need for the Parent Cohort program is at or below 85% of State Median Income (SMI), based on family size this could look like:

* Verification of income will be required with tax documents and FAFSA.
Current students in these programs can also apply. This subsidy program is dependent upon the availability of DES funding.

How to apply

- Fill out FAFSA.
- Get started with FAFSA video
- Apply for a FSA ID
- Complete the FAFSA application using your FSA ID. YC's school code: 001079.
- Enroll at YC .
