Parent Cohort

cohort.jpgStudents in Early Childhood Education, Education, Nursing or Nursing Intent who qualify may have childcare tuition costs fully funded for children under age 12 when enrolled in a DES/DHS certified care center or home while enrolled as a student at YC.

Who? Students enrolled in Early Childhood Education, Education, or Nursing (including nursing intent students). This childcare scholarship is limited to those degrees. Parents need to show economic need through filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Demonstrated need for the Parent Cohort program is at or below 165% of Federal Poverty Level, based on family size this could look like:

165% poverty level

Family Size Annual Income limit*
2 $28,752
3 $36,240
5 $51,228

* Verification of income will be required with tax documents and FAFSA.

Current students in these programs can also apply. This subsidy program is dependent upon the availability of DES funding.
