Part 1. Course Information

To simplify the process of developing your course syllabus, the syllabus template can be downloaded and completed in your wordprocessor. Save the template on your computer just as you save any other document. If you need to revise your syllabus at any time during the course, simply make the revisions and distribute a revised syllabus to your students.

Part 2. Syllabus Calendar, Schedule or Agendas

Every course syllabus will incorporate a calendar of course activity information that will help students plan and succeed. At a minimum, activity headings will include: dates, activities, and assessments.

Headings can also include times, outcomes, specific assignments, meetings, readings, deadlines, project beginnings, locations, discussions, forum responses, critiques, technology or any other pertinent, calendar-based information.

Listed here are two schedule types that may help you construct required minimum calendars. Use a method that will help students to easily recognize meeting agendas and outcomes.

Part 3. Institution Policies and Instructor Procedures

Every course syllabus must incorporate the policies and guidelines identified in the attached template. You may prepare your course syllabus in a professional format that best represents the course and meets the needs of students.

You may add instructor procedures to the template or include the template in your syllabus as presented.
