Enrollment in the Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment, and JTED programs continued to increase in
2014. These programs offer high school students the opportunity to start college early by taking classes taught by Yavapai College-approved high school teachers that satisfy high school graduation requirements and offer college credit. The College continues to monitor its high school population in order to offer appropriate programming for student pathways to completion.
Two Yavapai College students were named 2014 Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team Scholars. The two students are among five Yavapai College students who were honored with All-Arizona scholarships, providing them with full tuition to continue their studies at any Arizona state university. A Yavapai College nursing graduate received
a 2014 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship that provides her with up to $30,000 a year
to pursue her bachelor’s degree. Only 85 such scholarships were awarded this year out of 3,705 applicants.

Yavapai College shines a spotlight on exception students during its Students and teachers alike flocked to the Verde Valley SciTech annual Evening of Recognition events throughout the county. Festival Expo held on the Verde Valley Campus in March.
