Welcome New Students and Employees!


YC OneCard is your official YC student ID card. 

Current YC students, faculty and staff can add their OneCard to their Apple Wallet or Google Pay, and use their smart phone and Apple Watch around campus. By simply placing your phone or Apple Watch near a reader where physical campus IDs are accepted, you can enter residence halls, CTEC buildings, buy lunch, print documents, and more based on your current permissions.  Flexicash and local  discounts available with your YC ID. 

 


Mobile ID set up instructions:

As a new student, you will need to set up multifactor authorization.

How to Enroll in MFA:

Students can enroll here after logging into the YC portal.

Please note the following: 

  • The one-time Duo MFA activation will require logging via another device such as a computer or tablet using your YC account information in order to access the QR code and scan it on your phone.
  • You will need both Duo and the Transact eAccounts apps on your smartphone to use Mobile Credential.

All YC employees are automatically enrolled in MFA when their employee accounts are created.  If you have not completed your employment paperwork, please contact Human Resources

Please follow the step by step instructions below and note the photo requirements as you go:

  1. Login to your YC Portal at  www.yc.edu
  2. Go to My Account
  3. Click on Online Photo Submission
  4. Click on Profile
  5. Scroll down and click on Submit a new photo

Submitting your photo is required for both digital and physical ID's. Physical ID's are only issued for nursing, allied health, NARTA, and residence hall students. Physical ID requests for other students may be submitted to onecard@yc.edu.

  • We accept photos in jpg, png or gif format only
  • Photo should be in full color and taken against a white, off-white or very light background.
  • Must be a color photo.  Do not submit photos in black and white, or with any filters or effects applied
  • The photo must show a close-up of your face and shoulders slightly cropped above the head to the middle of the chest; clothing must be visible
    • Look straight ahead with a relaxed face, not frowning
    • You must be positioned directly facing the camera with a neutral facial expression that is well lit. Eyes should be open and looking at the camera.
    • If you wear glasses, ensure there is no reflection and the frames do not obstruct your eyes. 
    • Do not wear sunglasses, headphones, hats or head coverings that hide the hair or hairline
    • Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
    • Your full face must be visible and any head coverings must not cast any shadows on your face

Once your photo is submitted:

  1. The Student Development Team will verify your information and photo.
  2. You will receive an email when your identification photo is approved and your registration or employment for the semester is verified.
  3. Your card will be printed and mailed to you within 14 days.

Mobile ID minimum requirements

Setting Up Mobile ID on iPhone or Apple Watch

  1.  Download the  eAccounts Mobile   app from the App Store to your phone google play link
  2. Open eAccounts. Click through the startup screens and tap  Get Started.
  3. Search for Yavapai College and click through to the YC OneCard login screentransact-app
  4. Enter your YC Login to authenticate your device. 
  5. Once you have successfully authenticated in eAccounts, click the  Add to Apple Wallet button to add your YC OneCard to Apple Wallet. You can add your student ID to one iPhone and one Apple Watch.
    1. Click  iPhone and continue through the prompts (Next,  Agree to Terms & Conditions).
    2. When the process is complete, the app will send a notification to verify your YC OneCard Mobile ID has been added to Wallet.
    3. Tap  Done in the upper right corner to return to the Home screen of the app.
    4. You can now add your Apple Watch using the same process.

 

Adding  Your Mobile ID to Apple Wallet on a Second Device

  1. Repeat steps 1-5 to login to the eAccounts Mobile App.
  2. Ensure your second device is signed into the same iCloud account as the first device.
  3. From the Campus ID screen in eAccounts, tap the in the upper right corner of your Transact Mobile ID display.
  4. Tap Add or Remove Campus ID from Wallet.
  5. Choose your second device to add your Transact Mobile ID.
  6. On the Add Card to Wallet screen, tap Next in the upper right corner.
  7. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete adding your card.

  1. On your device, go to Settings>General>Software Updates.
  2. If your device is running iOS 12.2 or later, you’re ready to use the Mobile ID.
  3. If not, tap Download>Install. You may need to enter your passcode to start the update.
  4. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on your phone to finish upgrading to the latest version of iOS.

  • The Series # for your Apple Watch can be found on the back of the Watch.
    1. Note: The Series 0 Watch is not eligible for this program.
  • Instructions for verifying and/or updating your Apple Watch software version can be found at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204641.

First remove the pass from your old device from Apple Wallet. Once removed, go to the e-accounts app on your new iPhone and follow the steps to add to Apple Wallet.

Setting Up Mobile ID on Android

  1. Enable NFC on your phone in your Settings NFC settings can be found in different areas of the Settings menu, depending on your device. A common location is Connected Devices>Connection Settings. (If not found there, use the Search option on the top right to double check.)
  2. Toggle the NFC setting to On.
  3. Open  Google Pay and make sure it is enabled as the default payment application. If the app prompts you to add a credit card, you can bypass that screen and return to the Google Pay home screen.
  4. google pay link Download the eAccounts Mobile app from the Google Play Store to your phone.
  5. Open eAccounts, click through the startup screens and tap  Get Started.
  6. Search for Yavapai College and click through to the YC OneCard login screen  transact play store app
  7. Enter your YC Login to authenticate your device. If you have not set up your YC Login, please do so prior to proceeding
  8. Once you have successfully authenticated in eAccounts, click the Add to Google Pay button to add your YC OneCard to Google Pay.
    1. Continue through the prompts (Next, Accept the Yavapai College Terms & Conditions).
    2. Next, Accept the Google Pay Terms of Service.
    3. The next screen will confirm that the ID has been added to Google Pay.

  1. From your device tap: Settings>About Phone>Software Information or search for 'about phone". 
    1. To update, from your device tap: Settings >General >Software Update >Download >Install >Passcode may be required. Your device will display the estimated download time. the eAccounts app requires Android version 6.0 or later.

 


Your iPhone or Apple Watch must be turned on, but it does not have to be connected to a network. For iPhone 6S, iPhone6S Plus, and later, Express Mode* allows you to use your YC OneCard Mobile ID without unlocking your device with a password. Just tap the decide against the reader to recognize your YC OneCard Mobile ID. On iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, Express Mode* with power reserve is available for up to five hours after the device’s battery needs to be charged. 

*Android phones and other IPhone Models  8 and earlier do not offer this feature.

On an iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, you can use it by double-clicking the Home button, then tapping your default payment card and selecting your student ID. Rest your finger on Touch ID to authenticate and hold the top of iPhone 6 or 6 Plus near the contactless reader.

To display your YC OneCard Mobile ID: open Apple Wallet and select your YC OneCard from your saved cards.

To add funds to your accounts in the eAccounts app: first save a payment method at the eAccounts website

  • Make a deposit via your desktop or mobile browser.
  • After completing the deposit, there will be an option to save your credit card information.
  • Once you have added the card information on the eAccounts website, that card will be available in the eAccounts app for future deposits. If you have already used eAccounts to access your Mobile ID, you will need to sign out and back in to update the saved payment information.

Why can’t I double-tap the side button with my phone locked to see my balances in Apple Pay:

When using Express Mode* (iPhone 6s or later), your YC OneCard will not be displayed with other cards in Apple Wallet for security reasons.

Contact information for the YC OneCard Office is also available from the YC OneCard menu options in the Apple Wallet.

 

You do not need to unlock your phone, but the screen must be awake to use your YC OneCard. Tap the power button to wake the screen and tap your phone against the reader. Note, the antenna location may vary by device, although it is often in the middle of the phone. As a result, you may have to adjust the orientation of your phone against the reader to have your mobile ID recognized. Also, check your Settings to make sure that NFC (Near Field Communication) is turned on. 

To display your YC OneCard, open the eAccounts app, sign in and select the View in Google Pay icon

  • On-Campus Point of Sale (Business Office)
  • Rider Diner (Prescott Campus)
  • The Café (Prescott Campus by Library)
  • WEPA printing stations
  • YC Bookstore

 

You do not need to have a physical card if you set up Mobile ID.  However, if you wish to have one, please follow the steps below. 

  1. Send an email to onecard@yc.edu and request a physical OneCard ID card.  The first physical ID card you receive is free and will be printed for you. Your ID card will be mailed to your mailing address on file after you have received an approved photo email.  
  2. There is a $25 replacement fee if you lose, damage or discard your OneCard ID or if would like one reprinted with a new, uploaded photo to replace your original printed card. 

The OneCard is the property of Yavapai College. Lost or stolen cards must be reported to the OneCard Office. There is a charge for replacement of lost, stolen or mutilated cards. The OneCard is void upon termination of enrollment, termination of employment, or if not properly validated.
