Current events need to take a break. Local musicians need our support. And never, in the course of history, have we needed A Little Christmas more.

In the spirit of the coming holiday season and in solidarity with local musicians, the Prescott Pops presents We Need A Little Christmas, a joyous orchestral fundraiser, Saturday, November 21 at 4 p.m. at Prescott Christian Church.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $100, and only available through the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center or by calling: (928) 776.2000.

Special guest vocalists Christanna Rowader, Darrell Rowader, Kate Howell and Michael Nache will join Maestro Joseph Place, and a 33-piece orchestra on a musical journey of reverent and inspiring holiday favorites.

2020 has proven a difficult year for arts organizations around the world. The pandemic’s wake of dark concert halls and cancelled seasons have threatened the livelihoods of many talented performers. Funds from We Need a Little Christmas will help support the Prescott Pops so it can continue providing our community with quality symphonic music for years to come.

Saturday’s hour-long performance will observe COVID-19 restrictions. Masks will be required, Prescott Christian Church will provide socially distanced, general admission seating and cap its audience at one hundred people. The concert will also double as a live-audience taping of Yavapai Live! Yavapai College Performing Arts Center will rebroadcast the concert on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3:30 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., as part of its weekly streaming concert series.

We Need A Little Christmas will be performed Saturday, November 21 at 4 p.m. at the Prescott Christian Church, 501 S. Senator Highway, in Prescott. Seating is limited. The Church will open doors at 3 p.m. Unsold tickets, if any, will be available at the door, but patrons are encouraged to purchase in advance.
