The Center for Cybersecurity at Yavapai College serves as the focal point for cybersecurity education, collaboration, and workforce preparation. The Center supports academic programs, connects students with industry opportunities, and promotes cybersecurity awareness throughout the community.

Through partnerships with industry leaders, faculty expertise, and student engagement, the Center helps prepare the next generation of cybersecurity professionals while supporting regional workforce needs.

Industry Advisory Board

The Computer Science Advisory Industry Board at Yavapai College serves in this capacity for all Computer Technology programs as well as the college’s Cybersecurity programs of study.

The board brings together faculty and experienced industry professionals who provide insight into evolving technology trends, workforce demands, and best practices across computing disciplines. Through regular engagement with faculty, the board reviews program direction, offers recommendations on curriculum and technical competencies, and helps ensure that graduates are prepared for careers in areas such as software development, information technology, cybersecurity, and data-related fields.

This collaboration between education and industry helps maintain programs that are both academically rigorous and directly relevant to the needs of employers and the regional technology workforce.
