The Yavapai Symphony Association commences its 2022-23 season with a 21-year-old musical genius whose touch on the piano has thrilled audiences all over the world. Join us Friday, October 7, at 7 p.m., when the Yavapai Symphony Association proudly presents Alexander Malofeev at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.

The musical world has struggled to keep pace with Alexander Malofeev’s rapidly emerging talent. At the age of 13, he gained international recognition by winning the Gold Medal at the 2014 International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. In 2016, Alexander was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Competition for Young Pianists in Moscow.

He has performed with the world’s best-known orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Lille, and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. YSA’s October concert will feature Alexander performing a program of Beethoven and Rachmaninov.
