Yavapai College is hosting its third annual Alumni Reunion weekend on the Prescott and Verde Valley campuses Thu., Sep. 21 through Sun., Sep. 24.

While the extended weekend festivities are primarily meant to reunite former students and graduates of YC, most events are available and open to the public.

Events kick off on Thu., Sep. 21 at 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in building 19, room 147 on the Prescott campus (1100 E. Sheldon St.) with the YC Alumni Small Business Summit, in partnership with the Small Business Development Center.

The proceedings include a Marketing Panel, a Lender Panel (How to Get Money for your Biz), a YC Alumni Owned Business Panel, networking and a professional photographer will be on hand for headshots.

The Summit is a partnership between the Office of Alumni Affairs, the SBDC and the YC student leadership and business program communities. Attendance is free, but seating is limited—please RSVP for the event by following the link online at yc.edu/alumniwknd.

Radiologic Tech alumni are invited to re-connect later that day from 6 to 8 p.m. at In the Game (2992 N. Park Ave.) in Prescott Valley, near Harkins Theater.

On Fri., Sep. 22, an all-Athletics alumni mixer will be held at State 48 Hometown BBQ (669 E. Sheldon St.) in Prescott from 5 to 7 p.m. Following the mixer, head back to the Prescott campus for a YC Athletics Volleyball game in the Walraven Gym against Central Arizona College at 7 p.m.

The Phi Theta Kappa honors society will hold its annual Fun Run on Sat., Sep. 23 at 8 a.m. along the YC Trail on the Prescott Campus. Register in the Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center parking lot. Register online at www.yc.edu/funrun or in the Performing Arts Center parking lot on the day. Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Prescott campus. Activities include a bounce house, shaved ice from Kona Ice house, a selfie station, Ballet Folklorico Tornasol and more.

The YC Hall of Fame Athletics Brunch will be held from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. on the Prescott campus in the Walraven Gym. Celebrate with the new members of the YC Athletics with a delicious brunch provided by Goods from the Garden prior to the induction ceremony. 2023 inductees include Jimmy L. McKaskle (baseball), Haley Shackelford (volleyball), Kevin Jeffrey (soccer), Jenna Rodriguez (softball), as well as the 1997 men’s soccer team and the 1982-83 women’s basketball team.

Finish the day with men’s and women’s soccer matches at Ken Lindley Field (702 E. Gurley St.) in Prescott. The men first face off against Mesa Community College at 3:30 p.m., with YC women’s kickoff following at 6:00 p.m.

End your weekend with the Roughrider Athletics Association Golf Classic at Antelope Hills in Prescott (1 Perkins Dr.) with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. A lunch and an awards ceremony at the course’s club house will follow.

“We’re super excited about it.” Kammie Kobyleski, Director of Development and Alumni Affairs, said. “We’ve got business and athletic events and a few surprises planned.”

“We're expecting a big turnout for Saturday morning's Fun Run, and this year, we’re partnering with the Prescott Film Festival. So, mark your calendars.”
