Veteran Librarian and educator Lynn Durkee will speak about the renovation of Yavapai College’s Verde Valley Campus Library -- and the innovations that will prepare the library and the College for future technology. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) presents, “Unlocking the Future: A Library Transformation,” a FREE presentation, Tuesday, November 7, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., in room M-137 on YC’s Verde Valley Campus, 601 Black Hills Drive, in Clarkdale.

Yavapai College is creating the Center of Learning and Innovation, the ultimate hub for education. It will include immersive learning (like Virtual Reality), diverse study environments, and innovative academic support. Those who attend the presentation will see images of the plans, past and present, and learn how the Center for Learning and Innovation will be a transformative space where students can access the latest technologies to help them achieve success.

The presentation will be hosted by Lynn Durkee (a.k.a. Lynn the Librarian), who has been working in college libraries for 19 years. She loves books and computers and is excited to help make the library and the Center for Learning and Innovation the best location for learning this side of the mountain!
