The Yavapai College Visual Arts Department invites the public to Traveling Textures, a Small Works Silent Auction Fundraiser Exhibit on view from June 9 through July 24, 2025, at YC’s Sedona Center.
Featuring small-format works across multiple mediums and styles, Traveling Textures celebrates the power of texture in storytelling. Small canvases, featuring paintings, mixed media, and collage explore the rich, sensory world of texture. Each piece combines different materials and techniques to evoke the tactile qualities of both natural and man-made surfaces. All artwork in Traveling Textures will be available for purchase through a silent auction, hosted online at event.gives/arts2025.
Auction proceeds go directly to support the Yavapai College Visual Arts Department and its many programs.
An Opening Reception for Traveling Textures will be held Wednesday, June 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Yavapai College Sedona Center. The reception is free and open to the public.
The exhibition runs through Thursday, July 24. True to its title, the Traveling Textures exhibit will then travel to Yavapai College’s Verde Valley and Prescott Campuses during the Fall 2025 semester.
Traveling Textures opens Monday, June 9 at the Yavapai College Sedona Center, 4215 Arts Village Drive, in Sedona. Admission is free. For more information, on Traveling Textures or any of Yavapai College’s Visual Arts programs, please call: (928) 649-5479 or visit: www.yc.visualarts.com.
