Over 250 community members filled the Yavapai College Verde Valley Campus on Saturday, October 23, for 'Love the Wine You're With,' presented by the 'Friends of the Southwest Wine Center', a fundraising auxiliary of the Yavapai College Foundation.

The event featured wine samples created by Yavapai College Viticulture and Enology alumni, craft beer tasting by Yavapai College's new Brewing Technology program, and food prepared by the Yavapai College Culinary students, all to raise money for student scholarships.

The event also featured a wine pull, silent auction, and tours through the picturesque campus.

"The Yavapai College Viticulture and Enology program has produced some outstanding winemakers. We love to showcase their work while also raising money for the Viticulture and Enology program and future student scholarships," said Mary Talosi, Executive Director of the Yavapai College Foundation.

All proceeds for the event will go directly towards:

  • Viticulture and Enology Endowed Scholarships
  • Student Activities
  • Priority Needs of the Viticulture and Enology Program

"Kudos to 'Friends of the Southwest Wine Center' for organizing the event and for their passion and support for the Viticulture and Enology program and future students," added Talosi.
