What is an academic catalog, and why is it important?

Academic catalogs contain the requirements in effect as of a certain date to earn a specific degree or certificate.   When you admit to Yavapai College and enroll as a degree-seeking student, the requirements for your degree are defined according to that year's academic catalog.   Requirements for degrees and certificates can change over time - sometimes requiring more or fewer or different courses.   Learn more about academic catalogs and continuous enrollment (PDF).
