Higher Learning Commission Accreditation
Review of Yavapai College

Accreditation is the process through which Yavapai College is officially recognized as being qualified to award college, certificates and degrees. In 1975, Yavapai College received and has since maintained its accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission. Accreditation ensures institutions provide higher education that meets acceptable levels of quality.

Yavapai College undergoes reaffirmation twice every ten years through an assurance argument and on-campus peer visit and a four-year distance review to demonstrate and document the education and services provided throughout the institution meets the Higher Learning Commission criteria for accreditation.

In addition to the Institutional Accreditation maintained through the Higher Learning Commission, Yavapai College earned Accreditation for Four professional programs: Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Radiology and Automotive.
