Get your wings at Yavapai College

If you want to become a pilot, Yavapai College is the place to go. Prescott, Arizona is the perfect place for new pilots to learn with great weather and minimal air traffic. Our Airplane Operations degree will take you from Private Pilot all the way to CFI and CFII in as few as five semesters. This program is financial aid, veteran, and heli-crossover friendly.

If you’d rather keep your feet on the ground, our Technical Aviation program will prepare you to apply for entrance to the FAA’s Air Traffic Control Academy while our Unmanned Aircraft Systems certificate will instruct you on the many aspects of drone use including preparation for the FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.

Degrees

The Aerospace Science degree program prepares students for careers in aviation as airplane pilots, flight service specialists, dispatchers, instructors, and unmanned aircraft operators. The degree also prepares students for the entrance exam into the FAA Air Traffic Control Academy in Oklahoma City.

Short Term Certificates

The Unmanned Aircraft Systems Certificate prepares students to become professional unmanned aircraft operators.
