Sarah Eastman

Sarah Eastman

ACE Certified Personal Trainer

Sarah brings experience in fitness education, yoga, group exercise, ski instruction, climbing instruction, soccer coaching, and dance instruction.


Her approach focuses on the whole person: brain, heart, and body. She emphasizes positivity, lifelong results, nutrition, cardiovascular training, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Certified Fitness Instructor

Eric is a certified fitness instructor and proud Yavapai College alum with a lifelong passion for health, wellness, and movement.


His training approach focuses on functional fitness, mobility, yoga, sustainable habits, realistic goal setting, and positive support for people at every stage of their fitness journey.

Joy Travers

Personal Trainer

Joy has more than 25 years of experience in the fitness industry and has been a nationally certified personal trainer since 1995.


She specializes in customized fitness programs for seniors, with a focus on strength, flexibility, balance, mobility, independence, and safe long-term progress.

Before You Arrive

Fitness Center Rules

Review the basic requirements and equipment expectations before using the facility.

You must be enrolled in a Yavapai College class, such as PHE130A, PHE130C, PHE130H, or PHE130K, or have purchased a Fitness Center Pass.

  • Minimum age for lifting is 14.
  • Minimum age for all other equipment is 12.
  • All persons under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

  • Closed-toed shoes and a shirt are required at all times.
  • No food is allowed in the Fitness Center.
  • Drinks are allowed if they have a closeable lid.
  • Hand towels are provided and must be placed in the dirty towel hamper after use.
  • Strong perfumes and aftershaves are not permitted because many patrons have severe allergies.
  • Offensive language or behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Do not rest on or monopolize Fitness Center equipment.
  • Please share equipment well with others.
  • There is a 20-minute time limit on cardio equipment if others are waiting.
  • All instruction and training must be performed by credentialed employees of the Yavapai College Fitness Center.
  • Yavapai College Fitness Center employees reserve the right to ask you to stop an exercise if it has the potential to injure you or others.

  • Please re-rack barbells, weight plates, and dumbbells after use.
  • Do not drop weights on the floor.
  • Please ask for a spot from the instructor if you are lifting heavy weights.
  • Always utilize safety collars.
