Happy New Year, Roughrider fans! Yavapai Basketball is back in 2026, and conference play for both the men's and women's teams will begin later this week!
Men's Basketball
The Men's Basketball team will resume play this week with some conference play! The Men's team most recently played on December 13th, where they faced off against the Spartans of Colorado Northwestern, defeating them 63-56 at the Findlay Hyundai Prescott Classic!
This Saturday, January 10th, Yavapai will head down to Thatcher to face off against Eastern Arizona in the first conference game of this season! Yavapai vs. Eastern Arizona, currently receiving votes in the NJCAA national poll, will tip off at 4 PM.
Women's Basketball
The Yavapai Women's Basketball team will also begin their conference play this weekend, but not before hosting back-to-back games against Navajo Technical University.
These two games will take place on Wednesday, January 7th at 5:30 PM, as well as Thursday, January 8th at 3 PM.
Then, the team will head down to Thatcher to face off in their first conference game of the season, where they will play against #5 Eastern Arizona. That game begins at 2 PM.
Baseball/Softball
Be on the lookout for news regarding the upcoming seasons for Yavapai Baseball and Softball. Their seasons will kick off at the end of January.
