The Yavapai Baseball team has just completed their single home game against Scottsdale Community College, and the Roughriders would defeat the Fighting Artichokes 12-4.

Yavapai was down 3-0 to the visitors for the majority of the game, but in the 5th inning, the home team stepped up and cashed in on some runs! Yavapai would continue to go on a 12-1 run after the top of the 5th inning, leading to a run rule win over Scottsdale.

Yavapai ended today's game with 17 hits, including 5 extra base hits!

In this game, not only did both Cater Brown and Parker Halvorson record home runs, they would hit these home runs in back-to-back at bats in the bottom of the 7th! Brown's homer, his 10th of the season, brought runner Dongjae Ko home, and Halvorson's bomb resulted in an RBI of 1.

Carter Brown had 5 RBI's total in this game, while Halvorson and Ko each had 2. Brown and Halvorson each had 4 hits on the day as well, with Brown hitting a double.

Aukai Araujo-Waiau, Garison Jones, and Revan Maduro each had a stolen base in this game.

Owen Fernandes picked up the win in this game, pitching 6 innings and striking out 3.

Matthew Peterson was effective on defense today, as he recorded 9 putouts, 2 assists, and a Double Play.

Yavapai Baseball is now 17-15 on the season, and they aim to keep their record above .500 in this weekend's ACCAC match-up.

Yavapai Baseball will stay home this weekend for their 3-game conference series against the Vaqueros of Central Arizona. Game 1 will be this Friday, April 10th at 2 PM. Games 2 and 3 will be this Saturday, April 11th at 12 & 2:30 PM.
