Assurance Process
The college collects evidence and prepares an Assurance Argument addressing the Higher Learning Commission’s criteria for accreditation and assumed practices.

Improvement Process
Under the Open Pathway, the college identifies a major institutional improvement effort and completes it as a Quality Initiative for reaffirmation of accreditation.
In addition to Yavapai College’s institutional accreditation, selected academic programs are reviewed by specialized professional or regulatory accrediting organizations.
Nursing
Yavapai College’s Nursing Program is accredited by the Arizona State Board of Nursing and the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
