Arizona Secretary of State Brings Mobile Business Services to Yavapai College Aug. 5

Prescott, Arizona — Quad Cities entrepreneurs and small business owners will have a rare chance to access Arizona state business services, question the state's chief business filing officer directly, and connect with free local business resources — all in one place — when Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes' Mobile Business Services Outreach Program comes to Prescott on Wed. Aug. 5.
The free, public event is hosted by the Prescott Chamber of Commerce and the Yavapai College Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Yavapai College's Prescott Campus, 1100 E. Sheldon Street.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Building 19, Room 202, Secretary of State staff will be on-site on a walk-in basis to provide notary services, apostille services, trademark/trade name registration, UCC filings, and partnership filings (LPs, LLPs and LLLPs). All documents must be Arizona-specific; a full list of what to bring for each service is available online at azsos.gov/business.
From 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Building 19, Room 201, the Chamber and SBDC will host a welcome program that includes an open conversation and Q&A with Secretary Fontes, followed by a Business Success Panel featuring local entrepreneurs sharing firsthand stories of starting, growing, and sustaining their businesses. The panel will be followed by a Yavapai College SBDC presentation on its no-cost, confidential business advising services and a “Top Five Do’s and Don’ts for Starting or Growing a Business,” concluding with closing remarks and a networking reception.
“This event brings together everything a Prescott-area entrepreneur needs in one afternoon—state services, real advice from business owners who’ve been there, and a direct line to free, no-cost help,” Yavapai College Small Business Development Center Director Danusia Szumowski. “We want every small business owner in the Quad Cities to walk away with a next step—and a free advisor in their corner.”
The Mobile Business Services Outreach Program is part of Secretary Fontes’ statewide effort to expand accessibility to select business services for organizations and individuals in cities and towns across Arizona, bringing services traditionally available only in Phoenix directly to local communities.
