Clarkdale, Arizona — Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Yavapai College is bringing an exciting season of in-person learning, creativity, and connection to the Verde Valley and Sedona this fall with a vibrant lineup of classes.

Beginning August 24, OLLI invites adults of all backgrounds to explore new ideas, revisit lifelong passions, and connect with a welcoming community of learners.

An Open House will be held Thursday, August 20, at the Yavapai College Verde Campus, 601 W Black Hills Dr, Clarkdale, Building G, at 3 pm. Meet the instructors, explore the campus, and learn what OLLI has to offer.

This Fall’s offerings include improving your health literacy interacting with health portals and understanding test results; the impact of mining on Jerome’s environment; the art of Curt Walters; bird watching; John F. Kennedy; Tai Chi for Arthritis; and the Founding Fathers, among other interesting classes.

“OLLI is an amazing community of interesting retirees that all contribute to the dynamic discussions in our classes” said Director Tricia Berlowe. “We are welcoming proposals for new classes—we are always on the lookout for something unique and interesting.”

Known for its affordable, interactive classes and welcoming atmosphere, OLLI at Yavapai College continues its mission of making lifelong learning accessible, engaging, and fun.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a member-driven program offering non-credit educational experiences for adults who value learning for the joy of it. Courses span arts, history, science, wellness, and more, fostering connection, curiosity, and community.
