Volleyball team

Prescott, Arizona — Yavapai College Women’s Volleyball hosted Central Arizona College on Wed. Sep. 9, beating the Vaqueros 3-0.  

The Roughriders swept all three sets, 25-16, 25-17, and 25-22. Mackenzie Strader had seven kills, and Jada Adams and Keyara Haywood each had six.

Haywood had five total blocks. McKenzie Wright had 14 assists, and on Thursday was named the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference D1 Volleyball Player of the Week.

Yavapai College Women’s Soccer is now 7-2 on season, and 1-0 in conference play.

Their next game is home against Eastern Arizona on Wed., Sep. 16.
