Prescott, Arizona — Yavapai College announced today that Nicole Kennedy, Chief Development Officer for the Yavapai College Foundation, has left the College effective Friday, Sept. 4, 2026. The College thanks Kennedy for her contributions to the Foundation and wishes her the best in her next endeavor.

Jack Smith, Vice President of Community Relations and Legislative Affairs, will assume leadership of Foundation operations as Interim Director. Smith already oversees the Foundation as part of his portfolio at the College, along with Communications & Marketing, Legislative Affairs, and the Emergency Operations Center.

The Yavapai College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises private funds to support student scholarships, academic programs, and college initiatives that extend beyond what tuition and public funding can provide. Through partnerships with local donors, businesses, and community members, the Foundation helps remove financial barriers to education, invests in workforce training, and supports campus improvements across Yavapai County. Its work is central to the College's mission of ensuring that a high-quality education remains accessible to students throughout the region.
