Clarkdale, Arizona — The Patty McMullen-Mikles Art Gallery on Yavapai College’s Verde Valley campus in Clarkdale is hosting a juried exhibition, “HeART of America,” running through Oct. 29.
Presented in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States of America, this evocative showcase invites the public to explore the diverse symbols, icons, and perspectives that define the nation's evolving identity.
Juried by Clarkdale Mayor Robyn Prud’homme-Bauer, the exhibition features works from 30 artists selected from across the nation. The showcase highlights notable regional talent alongside national perspectives, including artwork created by faculty members from Northern Arizona University (NAU), Arizona State University (ASU), and Yavapai College.
From iconic imagery like the American flag and the Statue of Liberty to historic landmarks and everyday objects that define life in the United States, "HeART of America" provides an opportunity to connect with the stories behind these symbols and reflect on what it means to be American today.
The exhibition is free and open to the public, and the Patty McMullen-Mikles Art Gallery is located in Building F. For more information about the Arts at Yavapai College, go online to ycarts.org.
