Patrick Burns serves as the Chief Information Officer for Yavapai College, where he leads the institution’s technology vision, digital transformation strategy, and enterprise IT operations. With a strong commitment to enhancing the student, faculty, and staff experience, Burns oversees critical systems that support teaching, learning, data security, and campus-wide innovation.
Patrick brings decades of experience in higher-education technology leadership, specializing in modernizing infrastructure, implementing user-centered solutions, and fostering collaborative, service-driven IT cultures. Under his guidance, Yavapai College continues to expand its digital capabilities—improving accessibility, strengthening cybersecurity, and delivering tools that empower the College community.
Known for his strategic mindset and commitment to operational excellence, Burns plays a vital role in aligning technology with Yavapai College’s mission to transform lives and strengthen the local economy through education.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from SUNY Oswego and a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
Patrick enjoys the great outdoors and the Grand Canyon.
