Yavapai College Verde Valley Art Gallery presents the opening of its Biannual Juried Exhibition of student work at its Verde Valley campus on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The public is invited to the opening reception to meet the artists and their educators. Complimentary small bites will be provided by Jerona Cafe and a cash wine bar hosted by the award-winning Southwest Wine Center. The reception and exhibit are free to the public.

The exhibited works showcase the variety of courses and media offered at Yavapai College. "This show offers students a chance to experience how to prepare for and apply to a juried art exhibition and learn the necessary skills of framing and photographing their work for public display," explains Kelley Foy, the gallery manager. "Part of the education process for students is pricing their work for sale, so the show is an excellent opportunity for art collectors to invest in the work of local emerging artists."

The show highlights the variety of artistic talent and quality instruction in the arts at Yavapai College. The exhibit runs through May 4, 2018 and can be viewed during regular gallery hours: Tue. - Fri., 10am -3pm. Yavapai College Verde Valley Art Gallery is located at 601 Black Hills Drive, Building F, Clarkdale, Arizona 86324.
