What is the Immersive Learning Lab?

The Immersive Learning Lab provides students and faculty with access to virtual reality (VR) technology in a safe, open environment free from physical obstacles. Whether exploring distant locations, practicing hands-on skills, visualizing complex concepts, or experiencing simulations that would be impossible in the real world, the Immersive Learning Lab makes immersive learning accessible and engaging.

What Can You Do in the Immersive Learning Lab?

The lab supports a wide range of educational and experiential applications:

  • Virtual field trips – Visit museums, historical sites, natural wonders, and global landmarks
  • Science simulations – Explore molecular structures, planetary systems, and anatomical models
  • Skills training – Practice procedures and techniques in safe, repeatable environments
  • Career exploration – Experience workplace environments across different industries
  • Collaborative learning – Share VR experiences with classmates through screen casting
