Native American Heritage Month

Yavapai College community is celebrating Native American Heritage Month this November to spread awareness about tribes and to educate people about the various challenges faced by the Native Americans in the past and today.

Throughout the two-week period, we will recognize and keep on supporting the remaining tribes, and let the world know about their sacrifices and the contributions they have made.

This month is also an excellent opportunity for people to celebrate their brilliance, honor and acknowledge the truth in history, recognize whose land we are on, and work towards true ally ship.
