With consistent course schedules, no textbook fees for most courses, and embedded course materials, students can focus on learning practical business skills without worrying about logistical challenges or extra costs. Whether you’re a new student, continuing student, or returning to college, this degree helps you stay on track and reach your goals.

Unlike some business degrees that require students to specialize, the BASB provides a broad understanding of business concepts without the need to choose a concentration.

Study at your own pace: The BASB degree can be completed in three years for full-time students. Plus, 8-week course options allow students to accelerate their progress, with new sessions starting in August, October, January, March, and June.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Business (BASB) at Yavapai College is designed to provide students with the strategic knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in today’s competitive business landscape. This fully online program is taught by experienced faculty and aligns with real-world business applications, preparing graduates for high-demand careers in business by giving them critical skills in leadership, management, marketing, finance, and more.

A Growing Demand for Business Professionals

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in business and financial occupations is projected to grow 7% from 2023 to 2033, adding nearly 900,000 new jobs over the decade. This growth is driven by increasing globalization, evolving business technologies, and the demand for skilled leaders and decision-makers.

In Arizona, the business sector is also expanding rapidly. The Arizona Commerce Authority reports that business and financial occupations are among the fastest-growing fields, with job opportunities in corporate leadership, financial analysis, marketing, and small business management. The state's strong economic growth, combined with rising salaries, makes Arizona an ideal place to pursue a career in business.

YC’s optimized 92-credit Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Business is one of the first in the United States and, as such, may come with some limitations regarding graduate or professional school admission. Any student who wishes to may, at any time during their course of study, seamlessly transition from the 92-credit, optimized business degree to the 121-credit four-year business baccalaureate degree program. Students should consult with their academic advisor regarding the benefits and limitations of this degree program.

Full tuition and financial aid information will be available this spring. Scholarships are available! Tuition:
  • $162 per credit hour for In-State Tuition
  • $242 per credit hour for WUE States
  • $439 per credit hour Non-WUE states

 

All concentrations, except Accounting have no textbook costs or associated student fees.
