HVAC Programs at Yavapai College

Start your career in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) — or advance your skills as a working technician. Yavapai College offers multiple pathways designed for both beginners entering the trade and experienced professionals ready to move into high-skill service roles.

HVAC technicians install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation systems for homes and businesses. They diagnose issues, install equipment, ensure systems meet safety and efficiency standards, and work with certifications such as EPA Section 608.

Beyond technical work, professionals communicate with customers, recommend energy-saving upgrades, and help ensure comfort, indoor air quality, and system reliability. HVAC remains one of the most in-demand skilled trades.
