The Nursing program prepares students for professional practice through academic preparation, clinical learning, and structured admission requirements. Use this page to complete the required workshop, review your pathway, prepare for testing, and submit the correct application.

Applicants must complete the Nursing Information Workshop before they can be considered for placement.

Meet with advising

Review pre-entry requirements, transcripts, residency status, and program readiness with an advisor.

Prepare for testing

Traditional AAS applicants prepare for TEAS. LPN-RN applicants prepare for NACE-FON and dosage calculation.

Submit application

Use the correct application form and upload all required documents before the deadline.

This workshop explains the application process, program expectations, frequently asked questions, and required attendance verification. Online sessions are self-paced and available anytime.

Pre-admission testing

Traditional AAS applicants

Traditional AAS applicants complete the ATI TEAS exam. A minimum cumulative score of 60% is required for application submission.

LPN-RN applicants

LPN-RN applicants complete the NLN NACE-FON v1.2 exam and a dosage calculation competency. A minimum NACE-FON score of 68% is required.

Testing note:

Pre-admission testing must be completed at Yavapai College. Students may test once during each application cycle. The program recommends at least six weeks of preparation before testing.

The LPN-RN Advanced Placement application cycle for Fall 2026 is closed. Dates for the Spring 2027 application cycle will be announced at a later date.

Open LPN-RN Application

Applications for the RN-BSN program open when YC class registration opens, typically October for spring courses and April for summer/fall courses.

Readmission is available for qualified students with one withdrawal or failure. Readmission is not guaranteed. Students out for more than two semesters must apply as new program applicants.

Nursing Student Emergency Scholarship Fund

This fund supports nursing students experiencing food, housing, or transportation insecurities.

This form is used by ADN nursing students and faculty to document a student concern or complaint related to instruction, classroom environment, supplies, faculty interaction, or other topics.

Special application is required for admission to the nursing program. It is recommended that students work closely with their advisor to ensure all application requirements are fully met.
