Veterans Education Benefits
Welcome! Before submitting paperwork to our office, you should first create your student record at Yavapai College by clicking the “Apply” button at the top of this page, or contact Admission at (928) 717-7777 for assistance. Once you have a Student ID number (aka “Y Number”), follow these steps to begin using your VA education benefits:

Complete, sign, and save this form to your computer. To avoid losing the information you type into this fillable form, use the “Print” command on your computer, and select “Save as PDF” as your printer destination, and you will be prompted to save it to your computer.

Submit your Start-Up form, COE, and any other required documents to our office using this secure uploader. Hint: pre-populate your info in the uploader using the “click here” link where prompted.
- Within 1-2 business days of submitting your documents, you should receive an email from us with further instructions. If you don’t get an email from us, or any time you have questions, contact us directly at (928) 717-7613 or email vet.services@yc.edu

Semester-specific instructions, deadlines, and information to activate your benefits are available in MyYC:
Log in, open the “V.E.T. Services” menu, and download the “Semester Benefits Checklist.
While you’re in the portal, you will also find links to the items below. Here is a summary of the steps to follow when registering for the next semester’s classes:
- Consult your academic advisor, then register for classes that fulfill requirements on your approved YC degree or certificate program.
- Submit your Semester Benefits Request.
- Sign up for the Veterans Payment Plan to defer the cost of tuition while your benefits are being processed.
