✅ Once you have a Student ID number (Y Number).

  • Follow these steps to begin using your VA education benefits:
  • ➡️ Veteran Services Start-Up Form
  • Within 1-2 business days of submitting your documents, you will receive an email from us with further instructions.
  • If you don’t get an email from us call (928) 717-7613 or email vet.services@yc.edu

  • For questions about your eligibility for a VA education benefit, call the VA directly at 1-888-442-4551.

Semester-specific instructions, deadlines, and information to activate your benefits are available in MyYC

Log in, open the “V.E.T. Services” menu, and download the “Semester Benefits Checklist.

While you’re in the portal, you will also find links to the items below. Here is a summary of the steps to follow when registering for the next semester’s classes: 

  1. Consult your academic advisor, then register for classes that fulfill requirements on your approved YC degree or certificate program.
  2. Submit your Semester Benefits Request.
  3. Sign up for the Veterans Payment Plan to defer the cost of tuition while your benefits are being processed.

  • Contact the Yavapai College Bursar’s Office: yc.edu/bills.  Scroll down to “Military Tuition Assistance (TA)” for details.
