New Student Orientation is a resource for new and returning students. Orientation is tailored to registered students, but all registered, non-registered, new, returning, and continuing students are encouraged to attend.

  • Become familiar with at least one department location and its services.
  • Build an understanding of strategies for student success.
  • Meet at least one other student, staff member, or faculty member.
  • Learn about YC Promise eligibility and timeline information.
  • Recognize the importance of campus activities, clubs, and events.
  • Identify and locate key campus resources, including advising, tutoring, and food services.
  • Understand how and when to connect with student support services.
  • Gain confidence and tools needed to be successful as a YC student.
