Animal Disaster Services creates and maintains a free shelter for animals during emergency evacuations under the direction of Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management. Founded in 1999, we are a fully trained, all volunteer organization serving Yavapai County. Our shelter locations are normally close to the Red Cross evacuation centers.

LASER - Large Animal Shelters and Emergency Readiness provides safe shelter for barn animals during evacuations in Yavapai County, as well as information for emergency preparedness. LASER has 2 dedicated shelter locations, open only during emergencies. Our largest and primary shelter, provided by Yavapai County, is in Prescott Valley. Our second shelter is in Chino Valley.

Non profit 501(c)3 - Public adoption center for the entire Verde Valley and Yavapai County. Animal shelter by contract to the City of Cottonwood, the Town of Clarkdale, and unincorporated Yavapai County including the areas of Cornville, Rimrock, and the Village of Oak Creek. Animals for adoption on our website or call for an appointment to see our dogs (no appointment needed to see cats). All animals for adoption are spayed or neutered, have age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
