Enjoy lifestyle and leisure classes through our Community Education program featuring hands-on learning and special interest topics. Non-credit courses are taught by community professionals experienced in their chosen fields.

Taught by expert instructors from your community, our courses cover a broad range of interests. Learn to collage or tell your story through art. Discover the practical and extraordinary ways to use a pendulum. Earn your Reiki I certification or update your yoga credentials in our first yoga teacher continuing education class.

Share Your Passion. Teach For Us!

spaceWe're always looking for local experts with a passion for teaching. If you've got a fun, useful, informative, or professional topic to share with the community, we want to hear from you. We'll discuss the concept and determine if it makes sense for our programming. Afterward, we'll work out a schedule for you to teach. Yavapai College pays community education instructors $25-$30 per instructional hour.

Our communities really respond to art classes, computer classes, gentle exercise classes, and wellness classes — but we're open to many ideas! Though we're not yet offering face to face instruction during the COVID-19 crisis, we're still taking proposals for such classes.
